KUCK, LANGE, MCDONALD, MUECKE, PERIARD, RIVARD posted by Mary Ann Mickey on Wednesday, December 2, 1998

My husband's g-grandmother was Mary Lange, daughter of Johan Frederick Lange and Dorothea Marie Kuck. Johan and his father Daniel immigrated from Germany on the ship Europa, arriving in 1872 from Breman. They settled in Saginaw and Birch Run. Have not located siblings of Johan, but have a fair amount of descendant information. I'm aware of many other Lange's from Frankenmuth/Frankenlust, but have never found the connection. Do you know the city or area in Germany that your Langes originated from? Looking forward to hearing from you, Mary Ann Mickey

What Lutheran Churches were in Saginaw in 1858? Are marriage records available for that period? The Lutheran Church in Saginaw would likely be a "sister" church to St. John Lutheran Church in Amelith or East Saginaw.
