KANZIG posted by Jim & Karla Stanton on Wednesday, November 11, 1998

Looking for information on my grandfather, Charles S. KANZIG. According to his birth certificate he was born in Saginaw, February 18, 1892. Mother's last name Larch. I have been unable to locate a birth certificate, but have found out that his three older sisters, Gladys, Julia, and Clara were all born in Switzerland, 1890, 1888, and 1887. I have also heard, by word of mouth from someone no longer living, unfortunately, that Clara was 12 when she came to the U. S, which would have been 1899. Is it possible he was actually born in Switzerland, but then "naturalized" in Saginaw? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. Karla Stanton.
