DARCHESTER, DUSCHARME, GUY, PERKINS, RAULEY, SHANNON, WARNER posted by Kevin O'Brien on Friday, January 22, 1999

I am doing genealogican research on these names associated with my maternal grandfather WILFRED GRANVILLE SHANNON and his wife CAROLINE MUSETTE (WARNER) SHANNON. Wilfred was a pioneer in the Jonesfield area and wrote a small conjecture ladened book of the early history of the area. He was also a minor historian for the area, an antique dealer, a border patrolman during prohibition and according to the guffaw punctuated stories at family gatherings, a County of Saginaw & cities of Merrill and Hemlock, Michigan surveyor who had quite a penchant for demolition by dynamite. Associated with the Shannon clan were many surnames of cousins/aunts/uncles; LUCY RYAN, UNCLE MAURICE(or) MORRIS DUSCHARME, MARY PERKINS, GEORGE WASHINGTON PERKINS, GUY WARNER, CAROLINE C. WARNER, MARTHA DARCHESTER, EMORY WARNER and MARY RAULEY. I have a terrific researcher named DUANE MILLER in MERRILL,MI, doing searches too, but I'm sure he would not be offended by my asking for help from anyone who might be able to shuffle a juicy tidbit of Shannon Americana my way. Thanks to everyone who has helped me. I certainly wish we could find the same hometown atmosphere in California. Kevin O'Brien
