CAMIEL, KELLY, MARRIOTT, WOODWARD posted by Monica Woodward on Saturday, July 5, 1997

Researching the family of Samuel MARRIOTT and Sally F. KELLY. In the 1870 Sanilac County,Delaware Twp. census. Samuel is 28 yrs. old and born in England. Sally is 25 and born in NY. I believe her parents may have been Alpha and Ruhamer KELLY of NY(they are listed above Samuel and sally on the 1870 sanilac county,Delaware twp. census).Samuel and Sally named their first son Alpha. At their wedding in Sanilac County, on Sept. 26 1860 or '64, they were married by M.B. Kelly, who was the Justice of the Peace. The witnesses were Joseph Trambley(Trombley) and Eliza MARRIOTT(possibly Samuel's sister?) Samuel and Sally had at least 6 children:Edley May,Alpha K.,Adeline R., Ralph and Rudolph(twins), and Edith. I only have info. on Adeline MARRIOTT. Adeline married Edward George WOODWARD(born in Grosse Ile)and they are found on the 1900 Detroit, wayne County census. I'm interesting in any info. on the MARRIOTT and KELLY line. I'd like to know what happened to the twins,Ralph and Rudolph. In 1900 census, they're living in Detroit with samuel and sally. Also interested in WOODWARD info. prior to 1869.Edward's parents were George WOODWARD(born in Saginaw) and Clara CAMIEL(or Carniel) born in Monroe County.

Hi. My name is Rhonda Robertson and I live in South Carolina. I have traced the CHALTRAW name to Saginaw and I hope that perhaps you could post some names for me on the geocities page. My G.G Grandfather was Joseph CHALTRAW. He married Elizabet BISKNER on 4 Feb, 1883. She died 21 Sept, 1929 in Saginaw. Joseph's parents were Gabriel CHARTRAND and rose GURAND. Elizabeth's parents were Louis BISKENER and Fannie MELDRUM. I am looking for anyone who might be able to help me expand on these lines. Your help in posting these names would be most appreciated. Sincerely Rhonda Robertson

BARNES, CHAMBERLAIN, WILTSE posted by Sue Studabaker on Monday, July 21, 1997

Seek information on Silas BARNES (b. circa 1790 NY). Married Hannah WILTSE. Formerly of Wood/Lucas Co., OH before moving to Saginaw Co. Found living with presumed daughter Mrs. Eual (Mary) CHAMBERLAIN in the 1850 Tittabawasee Twp. census and with son James BARNES in the 1860 Thomastown Twp. census. Not found in the 1870 MI index (died?). Believe Silas is brother to my ancestor Joannah BARNES who married Hannah's brother John WILTSE. Silas is my only clue to Joannah's BARNES' ancestry.
