SLOAT posted by John Corrion on Wednesday, October 30, 1996

I am trying to get to the pre adoption parents of my grandfather, Jacobus SLOAT. I have a birth date of October 26, 1895 from the adoption record. A new search method that I thought of today during a discussion was to find the correct Bay City/County newspaper for that time period and then find out where to view that newspaper. I live in Howell so the State library is 40 minutes away if the correct newspaper is on microfilm.
