AUSTIN,
GEORGE E.
Born to Elliott H. and Annetta Austin on June 1, 1868, in Ingham
Township, Ingham County, Michigan. His
parents, when Mr. Austin was five years old, moved to Leelanaw County, Michigan,
where they still reside. Mr. Austin
was married October 16, 1894, at Traverse City, Michigan, to Ethel D. Young,
daughter of Horace E. and Minerva Eldridge, who was born June 13, 1876, in
Newberry Township, Lagrange County, Ind. Her
parents moved to St. Joseph County, Michigan, and after the death of her father
she went on a visit to a sister living at Traverse City, where she met and
married Mr. Austin. Four children
were born to them, Paul E., born October 1, 1895; Mark L., born October 17,
1897; Ida L., born August 22, 1899; Coover A., born August 29, 1901.
VAN
WORMER, N.
Born December 18, 1858, in Arbela Township, Tuscola County, Michigan.
Made his home with his parents until twenty-four years of age, when he
was married to Maria Renshaw, on March 28, 1882. Mrs. Van Warmer was born August 28, 1864, in Dunchurch,
England, and came with her parents to America when one years old, and settled in
Oakland County, Michigan, and in 1878 moved to Tuscola County, Michigan, where
she lived until the death of her mother. Mr.
Van Wormer bought the farm where he now resides in 1888.
One child, Clate N., was born to them on November 17, 1890.
