Layton Corners - Settled in 1854 with a post office in 1878.

Maple Grove Village - See 1877 Plat Map of the village and township. John Voith settled here in 1854.  The township organized in 1857. 

Elk P.O. - Is on the 1877 Plat Map for the township.  No other information found.

 Carolyn's Saginaw Images Site

Maple Grove Cemetery 
Established prior to 1877 on approximately 2 1/2 acres in Section 22 on Bueche Road. The cemetery burial records are held by the township.

St. Michael's Cemetery 
Established in 1865 on 7 1/2 acres on Lincoln Road. The cemetery is split by Lincoln Road with 5 acres on the west side of the road and 2 1/2 acres on the east. The cemetery is owned by St. Michael's Catholic Church which was also established in 1865, and the records are held at the church office, 17994 Lincoln Rd, New Lothrop 48460-9600, Phone: (989) 845-7011, Fax (989) 845-4729.
