Chesaning was first settled in 1839. First called Northampton Township which was formed in 1846. All was renamed to Chesaning in 1853.

Parshallburg (Havana) This village started around a grist mill in about 1887. Some listing show it in Shiawasee Co. but the maps and other listings have it in Saginaw. |
