ROSES FOR THE LIVING

                                                         William Louisell

The good-natured man above is none other than William Louisell, Weidman barber.

He was born in Missouri, but his family came to Michigan when he was a small boy and

located in Charlevoix.  In 1930 he came to Weidman, and during the intervening years he

has acquired the only barber shop in town, and a home.

Bill looked around the state for a location.  It is a good state, and has some mighty good

towns in it;  but he picked on Weidman as the town where he would raise his family.

In due time Bill bought a home.  And take his word for it, there is no greater and more

lasting pleasure in life than fixing up a home.  This home is out on the edge of town, and

here the Louisell family is being reared.  And don’t think that all modern kids are rough-

necks and impudent.  The children of Mr. and Mrs. Louisell are as polite as any old Victor-

ian could ask for.

Bill bought the building where his barber shop is located, so we think he is anchored

here for life.  Hope so.  Bill and family are mighty good people to know.
