MRS. BERTHA RAUCH

Mrs. Bertha RAUCH died November 26, 1946, at the age of 81 years,

and 20 days. Sixty-six years ago, she was married to Lewis RAUCH who

preceded her in death in 1927.She has since made her home with her

children.

She leaves three sons, Frank and Milan of Belding and Lester of Blanchard.

Three daughters, Mrs. Ada CARLTON of Lansing, Mrs. F. ANTHONY and

Mrs. Berniece ANTHONY of Mt. Pleasant;22 grandchildren,13 great 

grandchildren;5 nieces and 6 nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Rush Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant,

November 29, 1946,Rev. L. A. WOOD officiating. Interment was in the

Kelly Cemetery.

KATHLEEN KIPFMUELLER RECKER

Kathleen (Kipfmueller) RECKER,35,Shepherd, died Thursday,

February 10th at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor.

She was born 12 March 1936 in Mt. Pleasant.

Surviving are her husband, Bernard, three sons, Bernard, Steven and

Thomas; a daughter Susan, all at home; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Karl

KIPFMUELLER of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Mark of Milwaukee, WISC,

and Leo of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Patrick's Church, Irishtown.

The rosary was recited Sunday, February 13, at 8 a.m., at the Garber

Funeral Home in Shepherd.

ETHEL STAHL RICHARDSON

Mrs. Ezra RICHARDSON of rural St. Louis, was buried Saturday in the

East Coe Cemetery.

Ethel STAHL, daughter of Elden and Elizabeth Thomas STAHL, was born

near Coe,21 June 1906, where her entire childhood was spent. She died at

the Saginaw Hospital 14th November 1951, after an operation last week.

Those left to mourn her loss are her husband, Ezra S. RICHARDSON, one

adopted daughter, Anita; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Elden STAHL of Coe;

a twin sister, Mrs. Lela AYRIS of rural Mt. Pleasant, twp sisters of Alma,

brothers Harold and Leo of Mt. Pleasant vicinity, Norman at home and Arlo

and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Coe Church with Moody of Alma in

Charge. Rev. Clarence WOOD officiated and Mrs. WOOD was soloist.

CATHERINE (Katie) RIGGLE

Catherine Hazel (Katie) RIGGLE,87,passed away Friday evening, 

October 18th, at the Avon Nursing Home at Dewitt, Michigan

following an illness of a year.

She was born in Isabella County, 1 September 1876, and resided most

of her life at Winn, Michigan, until she went to live with her daughter,

Mrs. Zora CHADWICK of East Lansing.

She was a member of the Winn Methodist Church and the Shepherd

Rebekah Lodge No. 199

Funeral services were held Monday, October 21, 1963, at 2 p.m. with

interment in Union Cemetery, Rev. Charles D. McNARY officiating.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Zora CHADWICK of East Lansing, a 

step-daughter, Mrs. Bernice ALBERT of Lansing; two step-sons,

Donald and Harold RIGGLE of Winn,9 grandchildren, 28 great

grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Mack SELLER, Arnold ALLEN, Burdette DENSLOW,

Don SANDBROOK, Morris SAUNDERS and Duane FOEQUER.

WALTER ROBBINS

Walter ROBBINS,81,of South Isabella County Line Road, died

Monday, October 22nd, at the Central Michigan Community Hospital.

He was born October, 1892, on the family centennial farm in 

Isabella County.

He is survived by one sister, Miss Hazel ROBBINS of Alma and

numerous cousins.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 24th, at 2 p.m. at

Garber-Berry Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert RILL officiating.

Interment was in the Salt River Cemetery.

FRED O. ROBERTS

Fred O. ROBERTS,79,died at his home at rural Shepherd Monday,

September 16th.He was born in Gratiot County on 18 January 1884,

and has lived for many years in his present home. He and his wife,

Marie, were married 56 years ago.

Mr. ROBERTS was a member of the Gleaners and the Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife Marie and three foster children, Ted YATES of

Shepherd, Don DUFFY of Midland, and Mrs. Elmer WITTE of

Shepherd; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19th, at the Garber

Funeral Home, Rev. Lloyd VanLENTE officiating, with interment in

the Salt River Cemetery.

GOLDIE M. ROBINSON

Goldie M. ROBINSON,8746 S. Chippewa Rd., died Wednesday at Onslow

Memorial Hospital in North Carolina on August 1, 1979.She was 81.

Funeral services were Saturday at the funeral home, Charles JOHNSON

officiated with interment in the Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd.

A lifelong Shepherd resident, she was born 7 December 1897.She was

a member of the following Shepherd organizations:VFW Ladies Auxiliary,

Helping Hands Society, Rebekah Lodge and Willing Workers Club.

Survivors include three sons, Albert GOIT of North Carolina and

Eugene and John GOIT, both of Pontiac; one daughter Mrs. Shirley

FERENS of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Anna ROBINSON of Alma,

and Mrs. May YEAGER of Gladwin; numerous nieces and nephews and

many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

HARRY ROBINSON

Harry (Bud) ROBINSON,67,a former resident of this area, died

unexpectedly Tuesday, June 25th, at his home on Route one of

Remus.

Mr. ROBINSON was born 4 February, 1896, in Ohio and moved to this area

when he was seven years old. He and his family moved to rural Remus

about 16 years ago and have resided there since. He was a farmer and a 

member of the Blanchard American Legion Post.

Surviving here are his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude 

SWINSON of ILL and Mrs. Vivian JEROME of Shepherd; one brother,

Fred ROBINSON of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Mrs. Emma MULL and

Mrs. Clara MONK of Lansing and Mrs. Lula LUCAS of Fowler; and

twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Crittenden Funeral Home in Remus 

Friday, June 28th, with interment in the Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd.

JERRY ROBINSON

Jerry L. ROBINSON,37, Route 4,died Sunday at the VA Hospital in

Ann Arbor.

He was born 16 December 1934, in Mt. Pleasant. He was a farmer and

veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, February 2nd, from

the Stinson Funeral Home, Brother Ben BAUMGARDNER officiating.

Burial was in the Salt River Cemetery, Shepherd.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Fred ROBINSON of Mt. Pleasant;

three daughters, Laurie, Lisa and Marie all of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters,

Mrs. Ward (Barbara) BABCOCK of Elk Rapids, Mrs. Dale (Betty) MINDELL

of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Michael (Jackie) HOGAN of Muir and one

brother Jim ROBINSON of Shepherd.

NELLIE JACOBS ROBINSON

Nellie Jacobs ROBINSON was born 17 October 1882 in Medina County,

Ohio, the daughter of Jesse & Jeytt Bowman JACOBS.

She was married to Fred ROBINSON on 6 Mar 1907.The had resided on 

their farm west of Shepherd for several years when Mrs. ROBINSON'S health

began to fail.

She was a member of the Christian Church of Forest Hill, also a member

of Rebekah Lodge No. 199, of Shepherd.

Mrs. ROBINSON departed this life January 31, 1948, at Traverse

City State Hospital.

Services were held from the Garber Funeral Home Tuesday, February 3rd,

with Rev. H. H. BELL officiating. Interment in the Salt River Cemetery.

HAZEL ROOT

Hazel N. ROOT,80,of 105 E. Orchard Ave., Shepherd, was born 27 June 1891

in Michigan and died 2 January, 1972 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.

She was a graduate of Central Michigan University. A retired school 

teacher, she started in 1918 and had taught in Hamtramck ,Bridgeport and

Shepherd. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and

the Eastern Star.

Services were held today, Wednesday, January 5th, 1972 at 2 p.m. at

Garber Funeral Home with Rev. Albert RILL officiating. Burial was in

the Salt River Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, George ROOT of Shepherd, seven grandchildren

and three great grandchildren.

ROBERT L. ROWLAND

Last Friday morning at 7:10 o'clock, after an extended and distressing

illness. R. L. ROWLAND, an esteemed and honored citizen of this place,

was called away by the relentless and common foe, death. Although

beyond the allotted time to man, yet it pains the hearts of friends and

especially does the blow fall heavily upon the one who was nearest

and dearest.

Robert Lowrie ROWLAND was born near Benton, Holmes County, Ohio

22 September 1828 and died in Wilmot 5 April 1901, aged 72 years, 

6 months, and 13 days. Was married to Elizabeth GILMORE in 1851.

In 1852 he located to this village and has ever since been a citizen of this place.

He followed his occupation that of blacksmithing here many years, and was

a good mechanic, always endeavoring to satisfy his patrons by honest work

and prompt service.

In the fall of 1898 the companion for forty-seven years was taken by death.

On 25 November 1899, he again married, Miss Maria G. LIGGETT being

the one to whom he wedded, and has faithfully and dutifully cared

for him and comforted him in his declining years, and who is now bereft 

of a loving and kind husband.

He was converted to Old Church on Weimer Hill and united with the

Church of God in 1852 and has ever since been a member of that

denomination. He was always pious, honest and upright, a defender

of the truth and right, a man of pure and sincere motives, and a man

of deep conviction and forethought. In his religious life his every day

deeds and acts showed his true worth, for shame to him was

distasteful and repulsive. Of no man spoke he ill, and what he heard

to say was plainly spoken and to the point.

He served as Justice of the Peace of this township years ago, and was

a member of the Village Council sometime since. He served as 1st Sergeant

in Co. K, 163rd Regt. O.V.I. and was a member of Wilmot Post No. 384

G. A. R. and was for a time Post Commander.

The funeral services were held at the U. B. Church on Sunday at 2 p.m.,

conducted by Rev. d. w. SPRINKLE, and largely attended by friends

and neighbors. The Gun Squad, composed of young men, commanded by

Henry GERLOCK, acted as guard of honor. A number of ex-soldiers were

in attendance. The beautiful burial service of the G. A. R. was observed

at the grave.

CORA TOWNSEND RUSSELL

Word was received of the death of Mrs. Cora (Townsend) RUSSELL,58, who

passed away at Mancelona, Michigan, Thursday, March 7th.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 19th at Boyne Falls.

Mrs. RUSSELL was the youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William

TOWNSEND, former residents of Shepherd.

Mrs. RUSSELL is survived by her husband Robert, two sons and

two daughters and a number of grandchildren.

EDGAR L. SALISBURY

Edgar L. SALISBURY, son of Ephraim & Sarah Smith SALISBURY, died

suddenly at his home in Chippewa township, two miles north of Shepherd, on

March 4th,1948.He was born 12 February 1870.

He married Mary A. ETTINGER, who survives him, on 5 October 1892

in Mt. Pleasant. They have since lived on the farm and 5 October 1942

celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

To this union four children were born, three who survive him, a

daughter, Mrs. Bernice HICKS of Jackson; two sons, More of Clare and 

Allen of Midland. A daughter Mildred died in infancy.

He also leaves a sister, Mrs. LaVerne STUMP of Shepherd, a brother

Raymond SALISBURY of Ann Arbor; two grandchildren, Mrs. Hayden

WRIGHT of Lansing and Richard SALISBURY of Midland.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 on Sunday, March 7th at the Garber

Funeral Home in Shepherd, conducted by Rev. O. M. BAILEY.

Burial was in Salt River Cemetery.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mrs. Bernice HICKS

of Jackson, (who was vacationing in Florida), Raymond SALISBURY

of Ann Arbor, Mr. & Mrs. Hayden WRIGHT of Lansing, Dr. Grace

ETTINGER of Englewood, NJ., Mrs. Dora ETTINGER and sons

Herbert and Dalton of Pontiac.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant, Monday for Edward SAWADE

of rural Shepherd, who died 20th of October at his home.

Rev. John GOOCH officiated and burial was made in the Kelly Cemetery.

Mr. SAWADE was born at Deshler, Ohio, to Lewis and Anna SAWADE on

23rd of June, 1890.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred and children: Albert Clayton,

Deloris May, Irene Marie, Brenda Kay and George Arthur, all at

home; three brothers, James SAWADEof Fenton, Orley SAWADE of

Flint, and Frank SAWADE of Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters, Ora DAVIDSON

of Lama and Edna SAWADE of Mt. Pleasant.

Elizabeth SCHIMMOLLER was born at Ottawa, Ohio on 8 July 1867 to

Ignatius and Catherine NEIDERT, wife of Frank SCHIMMOLLER who

died 16 July 1932.

Survivors are four children: Joe SCHIMMOLLER of Ft. Wayne , IND.,

Edward SCHIMMOLLER of Columbus City, IND., Harry SCHIMMOLLER

of Shepherd, one sister, Mrs. Louis HEDRICK of Ft. Jennings, OH.

Elizabeth SCHIMMOLLER died 3 August, at the home of her son Harry.

Rosary Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at the Garber Funeral Home. Mass

9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with Father SCHUELER.

Interment at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

HARRISON O. SEELEY

Harrison O. SEELEY,92 years of age, died Wednesday, 1 September, 1948

at the home of his son, Albert SEELEY. Rosetta SEELEY, wife of Harrison O.

SEELEY, died in 1932.

He is survived by four children, Mrs. Annie HIGGINS of Smyrna, MI.,

Mrs. Bessie CHAFFEE and Mr. Herbert SEELEY, both of Ocala, FLA.,

and Albert SEELEY at whose home he died. There are 17 grandchildren and

42 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Garber Funeral Home on Saturday

afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. G. W. WATTERSON officiated with

burial in Salt River Cemetery.

MAYNARD SHATTUCK

Maynard SHATTUCK, a respected and well known resident of Lincoln

township, passed away March 2nd, 1948 at his home. He resided in 

Isabella County his entire life.

Funeral services were held from the Stinson Funeral Home, with burial in

Lincoln. The Rev. William TIMMS officiated.

Mr. SHATTUCK is survived by his wife Grace,16 children;49 grandchildren

and 35 great grandchildren. One son, and one daughter preceded him in death.

The children are: George, Fred, Andrew and Wayne SHATTUCK of Shepherd;

Dale SHATTUCK of Mecosta; Mrs. Gladys WILLIAMS, Mrs. Florence 

ANDRESS, Mrs. Bernice MOENING, Mrs. Muzetta YOUNG, Mrs. Leona BLACK

and Sylvester J. CASZATT, all of Lansing; Mrs. Bessie BEHREND, Mrs.

Helen CAMPBELL and Mrs. Leah BELLINGER of Shepherd; Mrs.

Thelma BRADOC and Mrs. Norma SINGER of Ohio. A sister, Mrs. Retta

LYONS of Mt. Pleasant also survives.

Alice Mary SHOE died Thursday,4 July 1963.She was born on 

2 January 1898, and lived near Shepherd all her life. Her husband

Arthur SHOE preceded her in death in 1962.She was a member of the

Shepherd Rebekah Lodge.

Services were held Sunday,7th of July at 2 p.m. at the Garber Funeral

Home, with Charles JOHNSON officiating. Interment was in the Salt

River Cemetery.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Marvel) WALKER of Spring

Lake, MI., and Mrs. Joseph (Effie) GRACE of Shepherd; one step-daughter,

Mrs. Clayton LYONS of Shepherd; two step-sons, Reginald SHOE of

Mt. Pleasant and Chester SHOE of Shepherd; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice

HOLDEN of Breckenridge and brothers, Clifford CHILDS of Wheeler,

Mrs. Mabel B. SHOUEY,82,of Shepherd, died Thursday 17th of February,

at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

She was born 3 April 1889 in Ohio and has been a life-long resident of the

Shepherd area. She was a member of the Chippewa Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sons, Dale and Frank, both of Shepherd; one daughter,

Mrs. Lloyd (Mary) ACTION of St. Louis;9 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren 

and 3 step-great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Esther ELDERDGE of St. Louis.

Funeral services were Sunday,20th of February, at 2 p.m. from the Garber

Funeral Home, Rev. Boyd WILLIAMS officiating. Burial was in the

Salt River Cemetery.

MARY ALICE WOOD SMALLEY

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice SMALLEY,81,of Mt. Pleasant

R.R.#4, were held last Saturday at the Stinson Funeral Home in Mt.

Pleasant with Rev. C. W. MacKENZIE officiating at the 2 p.m. rites.

Interment was made in the Salt River Cemetery at Shepherd.

Mrs. SMALLEY died at the Central Michigan Community Hospital

following an illness of more than a week.

She was born 2 October 1873 in Greene County, PA., and had been

an area resident for the past 43 years.She was a member of the First

Methodist Church and the Gleaner Association.

She is survived by a son, Glenn of Mt. Pleasant;12 grandchildren and

16 great grandchildren. Another son, Russell, died in 1952.

Also surviving her are three sisters, Mrs. Tillie GRAHAM and Mrs.

Lenna CHILDS of Lansing, and Mrs. Lucy MULLET of Coshocton, OH.

and two brothers George WOOD of Shepherd and Clark WOOD of Ithaca.

GRACE SMITH

Grace SMITH,74,passed away at the Broomfield Memorial Hospital

on March 11th,1957.She was born on 10th June 1882 to Richard and

Eliza TABOR SMITH.

For a number of years she was housekeeper to Jim MILLER who lived on

the north side of town.

Funeral services were held at the St. Vincent de Paul Church on Friday,

at 10 a.m. and burial was made in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

Rosary services were held Thursday evening at the Garber Funeral Home.

She had no surviving relatives.

Funeral services were held Sunday, for Harry SMOCK of Pleasant Valley.

He was born on 16 March 1884 at the old homestead of his father and

mother, George and Emily SMOCK, who were pioneers of the wooded

district north and east of the "Valley".

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Vivian SCHECK of Midland and Oregon

FREDERICK WILLIAM SPENCER

Frederick William SPENCER was born at Sterling, ILL on 30 June 1882

to Frederick and Emma SPENCER. He was married to Leona KINDIG on

8 December 1907 at Dixon, ILL. He came to Michigan in 1921.

Survivors are his wife and daughter ,Mrs. Russell KELLEY of Shepherd,

a brother Charles SPENCER of Shepherd, a sister Mrs. Emma BATTERLAUGH

of LaVerne, CA., and two grandsons, William and David KELLEY of Shepherd.

He died 30 July 1947, at the Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral was at Garber Funeral Home,1 August, 1947, at 2 p.m.,

Rev. Ralph FRYE and W.H. BELL officiating.

Interment was in the Salt River Cemetery.

ROBERT LALE STALTER

The infant son, Robert Lale STALTER, of Mr. & Mrs. Lale STALTER,

who had been suffering with pneumonia, passed away Wednesday 

December 15th, at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at the home of his parents.

Robert Lale was born 10 July 1848, and in his short little life of 5 months and

5 days, through patient suffering, his sweet smiles and dear little ways spread so 

much sunshine and happiness to those about him. He brought so much joy

and love into the lives of his loved ones.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Garber Funeral Home.

Besides his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Lale STALTER, there survives one 

little sister, Margaret Ann,4 years old; grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Forest

DIVELBISS and Mrs. Mabel STALTER, besides aunts and uncles and

many friends who knew and loved the tine little fellow.

Rev. Myron CLEMENT, pastor of the Methodist Church officiated and

Interment was made in the Salt River Cemetery under the Garber

Funeral Directors.

Nina STILGENBAUER,84,of Alma, died Tuesday,15th February,

at the Masonic Home in Alma.

She was born 22 September 1887 in Ohio and lived in rural Mt. Pleasant

for many years. She was a member of the Coe No. 98 Eastern Star and

charter member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Alma.

Surviving are her husband, Glenn; two sons Royal (Pud) of Mt. Pleasant and

Wilford (Bud) of Rosebush; two daughters, Ena Mae TURNER of Long

Beach, CA., and Eloise MANLEY of Mt. Pleasant;8 grandchildren and 10

great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday, February 18th at 2 p.m. from the Garber

Funeral Home, Rev. Joseph HUSTON officiating.

Burial was in the Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd.

Carrie M. CURTISS, daughter of John W. and Mina Hey CURTISS, was

born in Fremont township,10 June 1894, where the early years of her

life were spent.

On 2 November 1912 she was united in marriage with Floyd DeHART, who

departed this live on 22 November 1930.Six children were born to this

union: Milo of Crystal, Bernadine of Lansing, Duane R. and John living

near Winn, Imogene of Fremont and Ralph, who died in infancy. During

this time she lived near Vickeryville, MI.

About three years later she moved back to Fremont Township and

resided until 25 September 1940, when she married Lea STRONG of

Broomfield township. She was a kind and loving mother and created

happiness in all surroundings.

Mrs. STRONG was a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Methodist Church and

passed away at the farm home in Broomfield township on 5 December 1946.

Besides the relatives mentioned, she leaves two step-children, Esther and 

Donald, three grandsons, two granddaughters, six brothers, three

sisters, and many other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.

Stinson and Son had charge of the funeral which was held in the Trinity

Church Sunday December 8th.Six nephews of the deceased acted as

pall-bearers and the flower bearers were nephews and nieces.

Rev. Howard RICE and Rev. William ECONOMAN officiated at the

services, with interment made in the Union Cemetery 2 miles west of Winn.

Bertha May STRUBLE, Houghton Lake Heights, MI., age 83,died

Sunday,7 October 1956.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.

Wednesday, October 10th, 1956 from the Colonial Chapel,

Reigle Funeral Home,2417 S. Saginaw St., Rev. Marshall HOYT

officiating and burial in the Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd.

She was born in Jackson County on25 January 1873, and lived in Flint

for 18 years coming to Haughton Lake Heights in 1941.She married

Jacob Henry STRUBLE on 23 July 1896 at Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Surviving are her husband Jacob; daughter Mrs. Jesse THOMPSON of

Flint; son Lyle STRUBLE of Flint;10 grandchildren,9 great

grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Earl Perry STRUBLE,80,died at the Saginaw St. Mary's Hospital

Friday ,29 November 1963.

Mr. STRUBLE was born in Shepherd on 2 November,1883 and lived

most of his life in Pontiac and was a painting contractor.

Funeral services were held Sunday 1 December 1963 at 3 p.m. at the

Garber Funeral Home with Rev. Newton HUFFINE officiating.

Interment at the Salt River Cemetery.

He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Lawrence of Long Boat

Key, FLA., Virgil, Stanley and Louisa BLANCHARD all of Pontiac;

one brother, Lefe STRUBLE of Shepherd;10 grandchildren and 

7 great grandchildren.

Jake STRUBLE,89, of Flint passed away Friday night,8 June at

a Flint Hospital.

He leaves a daughter, Marie THOMPSON of North Highland, CA, and

a son Lyle STRUBLE of Flint and several grandchildren; three brothers,

Dick and Earl of Pontiac and Lafe STRUBLE of Shepherd.

His parents, deceased and residents of Shepherd, were Mr. & Mrs. Lewis

STRUBLE. He was one of seventeen children.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 11th, at Reigle Funeral Home

at Flint at 10 a.m. Mr. STRUBLE was brought here Monday with

graveside services at the Salt River Cemetery at 2 p.m.

Lafayette STRUBLE,96,died Friday, February 11th in Cheboygan,

Michigan. He was born 5 September 1875.He is a life member of

Salt River Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by Mrs. Roy (Alethea) BUSH of Levering, MI., Hobert

STRUBLE of Levering, and Vivan BARKER of Flint. Numerous

grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Services were held Monday, February 14th at 2 p.m. from the Garber

Funeral Home with Brother Ben BAUMGARDNER officiating.

Burial in the Salt River Cemetery.
