Mr. and Mrs. Leo Neubecker and Edward

                                                (transcribed by: L. Johnson)

This week we bring to you the likeness of our genial Postmaster.

Leo Neubecker was born in Nottawa Township, just east of Weidman in 1900 and has

always lived in this community.  Mr. Neubecker is a graduate of the local high school,

Central State Teachers College and Ferris Institute at Big Rapids.  He was appointed Post-

master here in 1934.  He married Miss Elizabeth Schmidt in 1936.  They have one child,

Edward.

Mr. Neubecker has given this village splendid service;  always willing to be of any help

possible to his patrons.  Through his efforts he has improved our mail service.  He is a fine

gentleman and has made many friends.  He is assisted in the post office by Mrs. Inez Schultz.

     Best Wishes, Mr. Postmaster.
