The largest group of men yet to leave Mt. Pleasant for army training will board the Ann Arbor train for Detroit Tuesday at 11:28 o’clock. The call is for 41.

Among this group are 34 draftees, including the first married man to be drafted from this area. Previously, fifteen draftees have left; and it appears that the percentage of draftees will be higher from now on.

Sixty-nine have been inducted into the army from this office, and this 41 brings the total to 110. There will be 264 by June 30.

Russell E. Dart is the first married man to be drafted, thus soothing the rumors that married men would be deferred. Dart’s wife is self-supporting.

The list as released is tentative and some changes may be made before the group leaves. Some of the draftees have appealed their cases and some still have a five-day period in which to appeal if they so desire.

There are 40 men on this list, the last had not been picked by Wednesday. There is a possibility that the group may go short-handed.
