ROSES FOR THE LIVING

     About 12 years ago Joe and Grace Kane came to Weidman to make their home here. 

Both were show people and had been with the 101 Ranch and Hagenbeck’s shows.  They

Also had done statuary work in fairs.

     Joe is an expert millwright, but like all show folks, likes the road better;  so now Mr. and

Mrs. Kane are with a tent show in the south, where they will remain till spring, when they

Will come home and Joe will put on movie shows in central Michigan towns for merchants

Free shows.  The Kanes have bought the Flower house on Third Street, and will make that

Their permanent home.

     “Roses for the Living” department of The Messenger is glad to hand a bouquet to Mr. and

Mrs. Kane.  We are pleased to have them with us permanently, and hope the future will bring

Them plenty of encores.
