ROSES FOR THE LIVING

                                                          Glenn Scott

                                               (transcribed by: L. Johnson)

Our picture in this week’s issue is one of Weidman’s young men.  There is not a village

or community in Michigan that has produced as many young men that have gone out and

made good as the village of Weidman;  four from the Middlesworth family, two from the

Drallette family, two of Mrs. Smith’s boys, the Ritchie boys, Harold Carr and many others

that not only have made good for themselves, but they are all a credit to our town and the

community.

Not the least is the fine young gentleman whose likeness we have the privilege of reprod-

ucing above.  Glenn Scott is a Weidman boy, born here in 1908, graduated from our school,

and he has been a resident here all his life.

Glenn is conducting the business with his mother under the firm name of Scott & Son,

with the aid of his wife, Beulah, whom he married in 1935.  Glenn has made a business

reputation for himself that might well be envied by much older men.

Glenn’s personality and the reputation the firm enjoys for fair and honest dealing has

made them one of the largest dealers in this county in Hardware and Agricultural Imple-

ments, including tractors.

Weidman is proud of its young men, and it is a pleasure to include Glenn Scott in our

“Roses for the Living.”
