Five More Enlist From Isabella

Isabella County Times-News, Thursday, October 31, 1940

 

 

 Two Mt. Pleasant youths, three Isabella county boys and one young man from Clare are on their way to army bases this week,  since enlisting with Corporal Frank Halloway of the recruiting service here.

                                                              

Roy T. Adams, RD3, Mt. Pleasant, is joining the air corps, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.                                                           

Judson Fisher, Jr., RD4, Mt. Pleasant, signed with the Second Infantry, Fort Custer, Michigan.                                                              

Howard W. Wing, Winn, joins the Second Infantry, Fort Brady, Salute Ste. Marie.  Two boys,                                                           

Joseph E. Dean, Shepherd, and Reginald J. House, RD3, Clare, are enroute to Hawaii.  Both
will serve in the air corps.

                                                                 

   There are still openings in the air corps of the Hawaiian islands, according to the

corporal.  Four years of high school training are required.  There are also openings for

infantry service, he said, at Fort Brady and in North Chicago.
