Charlotte Sophia Johnson was born in Lowell, Ohio, March 23, 1870, and died Thursday, August 30, 1917,

            In 1875, her father dying, she moved to Michigan to live with her grandparents.  She was united in marriage to Jesse F. Sheldon in 1888.  To this union were born seven children, three dying in infancy.  Those surviving are Mrs. Myron Spalsbury, Mrs. Milton Spalsbury, Hazel, Clifford and her husband are left to mourn her loss.  She was converted and joined the M. E. church of Chippewa 25 years ago.  On coming to Mt. Pleasant three years later she became a member of the Christian Church.  She was also a member of the W. R. C. and L. O. T. M.

            The funeral services were held at her home Sunday afternoon with Rev. Little officiating, and burial at Riverside Cemetery.  The W. R. C. conducted their burial services.  The out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mrs. Clara Rolfe, Mason; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson, Lansing; Mrs. Frank Beutler and daughter, Ione, of Eastland, Maryland.



            We wish to thank the friends, neighbors and singers who so kindly assisted us in the death of our beloved wife and mother and especially for the beautiful flowers from neighbors, friends, L. O. T. M., W. R. C. and the Christian Church.
