The 150th Year History Committee of The Mt. Pleasant Area Historical Society is compiling a book about authors and books about Isabella County. If you are an author, know an author, or own a book about Isabella County, we need to hear from you. All authors must be from Isabella County and the surrounding area or the book must be set in the county or area. We have been to the libraries and book stores and are now soliciting books that may be unknown. We do not need the books at this time, just the title, author, publisher, and year of publication.

We are also looking for cook books from the area. These are cook books that were written by churches, extension groups, clubs, and some families. We do not need the book just the information at this time. If you have an old cook book please write down the title, name of group sponsoring the book, and the year it was written.

Please include your name, address, and telephone number or email as we may ask for the loan of your book when we do an exhibition later in 2009.
