Full Report	Accident 25. - Sept. 18th Henry Rapson was killed while working on a scaffold in the 35th level south of No. 2 Shaft Hecla Mine. He was engaged with a party of timber men in putting timber in the stope and while in the act of wedging a timber by some means he fell from the scaffold a distance of fifteen feet striking his left temple. He was immediately taken up by his fellow workmen and found to be unconscious. He was at once taken to the surface and to the Mine Hospital where he died three hours afterward. At the inquest held by Coroner Macdonald Rapsons fellow workmen - George Tachel - Matt Oppland - Wm. Berryman and Peter Hammes testified as to the above facts. The jury brought in a verdict: That deceased came to his death from injuries received by accidentally falling from a scaffold while at work in th e 35th level of the Hecla Mine on the 13th day of September 1895. note: dates as in report.
