Many different ethnic groups have made up the population of Michigan. People from the same geographic location tended to come together as a group to settle.  Companies sent agents to various countries to hire people to come to Michigan to work in it's industries.  These people would write back and let them know that they were employed, had bought land or sent money so other family members could also enjoy the benefits they had found here. The links below are on this server or have a tie to the site specifically.  If you have a site that will help people within this category please go to the links at the bottom and enter them for site visitors to see.
