The cemetery is bordered on the North by Wilder Road, the East by
Au Sable State Rd., the South by W. Smith St. and the West by
N. Henry St.  According to George Butterfield (Bay County Past and Present
pg. 190) Oak Ridge was "set aside for cemetery purposes in the early
1850's by the Drake Brothers, the mill owners, and was sold to Bangor Township
in 1866, from which West Bay City purchased it in 1877."
