check the 1900, 1920 and 1930 census,

Will search Bay City directories
1873 to present; obituaries from
Bay City Times; will locate ancestor houses on Sanborn fire insurance
maps. Need name of head of house and approximate dates for
directories and exact dates for obituaries.
Bill Holtzapple - has a 1947 Bay City
"Polk" Directory for lookups.
Linda Kolinski - is willing to do
lookups for baptisms, marriages and deaths for
St. John of Amelith. Records are from the 1850's through 2001.

Joyce Rakovich - To all those of you who benefited by Joyce Rakovich's genealogical zeal, here is a copy of her obituary from the Bay City Times.
Rakovich, Joyce E. Bay City, Michigan Formerly of Midland Passed
away unexpectedly at home at the age of 67 years. She was born on June 10, 1938,
to the late Charles and Genevieve (Wojtas) Rakovich in Bay City, Michigan. She
had been employed at Dow Chemical for 33 years before retiring on March 31,
1993. Joyce was an avid genealogical researcher and reader. Surviving are her
two sisters, Grace (Jack) Karamol and Rose (Bill) Musolf both of Bay City;
nieces: Susan (Jay) Wright and family-Andrew, Kristen, Michael, and Sara;
Kathleen (Kent) Hosling and family-Jordan, Jared and Jacob; Lauren (Norm)
Halstead, Jr. and family-Danielle (Mark) Kato, Norm Halstead III, Johnathon
Halstead; Lisa (Don) Pietroski and family-Jennifer and Jaimie; nephews: Jeffrey
(Becky) Karamol and family-Alexandra and Cynthia; William Michael Musolf and
cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John
Rakovich. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19,
2005 at the Stapish Cederberg Funeral Home West. Pastor Leslie Tyvela will
officiate with inurnment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at
the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning
an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Cancer Society.
Gladys Stroemer - has the 1910 Bay
City "Polk" Directory, and the 1946, 1970 and 1987 directories for lookups.
Carol
Szelogowski - is willing to do census lookups at the Bay County Library; the
library has
census for 1820 through 1920 and Bay County for 1930. Please provide as
much
information as possible to assist in locating your family - township, family
members, and/or alternate spellings of your family name.
Tina - is willing to do photos and lookups at any cemetery in
Bay County or the city of
Standish.
She can print and mail photos or send via e-mail.
