Ella A. Taylor
   Ella Adresta Taylor, died at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Teresa
Hapner, near Strickland, on Mon-
day, May 8.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor
will be held from the Stinson Fun-
eral home, Friday afternoon, May
12, with the Rev. C. W. Mackenzie
and the Rev. L. L. Lewis officiating.
Stinson and Sons are in charge of
arrangements.
   Ella Adresta Taylor wa born
March 11, 1862 in Hillsdale county,
the only daughter of Cyrus and
Adresta V.  Sanderson.  She was
united in marriage to John Taylor
in 1881 who preceded her in death
on august 13, 1910.  Three children
were born to the union.  She was a
member of the Methodist church in
Mt. Pleasant for many years.
   Surviving are: children, Claud C.
Taylor of Mt. Pleasant; Ada V.
Smith of Waukesa, Wisconsin, Tere-
sa Hapner of near Strickland; thir-
teen grandchildren; fourteen great-
grandchildren; a brother, John
Sanderson; and several nieces and
nephews.

Mrs. Cecil Taylor
   Mrs. Cecil C. Taylor died at her
home 701 West Michigan street early
this morning.  She had been in ill
health for some time.
   The body was removed to Stinson
funeral home where funeral ar-
rangements are pending.

   Funeral services will be held Sun-
day morning, Dec. 18 at 10 a. m.
from the Stinson Funeral home for
Mrs. Cecil Taylor who died at her
home 701 East Michigan street,
Wednesday, Dec. 14.  She had been
in ill health for the past three  years.
   Dr. Charles Mackenzie will offi-
ciate and burial will be in Riverside
cemetery.
  Lilly Sickles Taylor was born June
11, 1886 in Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
She came to Mt. Pleasant to make
her home, 32 years ago.  Mrs. Taylor
was a member of the Woman's Re-
lief corps and the First Methodist
church.
   She is survived by her husband,
Cecil; one son, Donald Taylor of Mt.
Pleasant and one daughter, Doris
Anderson of this city.

John H. Taylor was born in Oswego County, N.Y. August 3rd, 1858 and died at his home in Fremont Township, August 10th with heart failure at the age of 52 years and seven days.  When seven years of age he came to Michigan with his parents and settled a farm in Isabella County where he has since resided.  He was married to Ella A. Sanderson February 2nd, 1880.  Three children were born to this union:  C.C. age 27, Ada, 18, and Teresa 11 years all of whom survive him.  Mr. Taylor had held the office of commissioner of Highway in Fremont Township for 14 years and was well known in political circles, being one of the most active members of the Republican Party.  An honorable, upright citizen, and a patient sufferer.  He leaves beside his immediate family two grandchildren, two brothers J.V. of Buffalo, J.C. of Fremont and one sister, Mrs. A.A. Deming of Lincoln Township.  The funeral was held Friday at the M. E. church at Winn, Rev. Whitney officiating and the remains were laid in the Taylor cemetery by the side of his father, mother, one brother and two sisters besides several other relatives.
